Most agencies put a salesperson on the first call, a project manager on the second and a developer you never meet on the actual build. I do it differently. The person you talk to on the first call is the person who writes the code, and the person who answers when something breaks a year later.
That matters because stores fall behind when nobody owns them. I have been a store owner myself since 2017, so I know what it feels like to pay for a build and then be stuck with it. Every project I take on is built to be run by your team through the theme editor, documented at handover and measured in your own Shopify analytics, not in a slide deck.
Since going full time in 2022 I have shipped more than 200 Shopify projects, earned Shopify Select Partner status and kept a 4.9/5 rating across 80+ reviews. Those numbers are nice. The one I care about is the one in your admin after we launch.

I take on a small number of projects at a time so every one gets the care it would get if it were my own store. No handoffs to a junior, no account manager between us.

The best work happens with stores I grow alongside for years. I would rather be your developer for the next five launches than a stranger who did one.

You see progress weekly, not at the end. I ask the questions early, flag problems the day I find them and never make you chase an update.

A store is a sales tool. Every design decision, every section and every line of Liquid gets measured against one question: does this help a shopper buy?

I did not start as a developer. I started as someone trying to get a store to sell, which is still the only problem I am interested in.
2017
Set up my first Shopify store
Before any client work, I was a store owner. Learning the platform by running a store taught me what matters to the person paying for the build.
2018
Started in IT, found web development
My first professional steps were in IT, and that is where web development got its hooks in me.
2019
On the road doing marketing
Travelling and performing marketing work for Google, Lyft, Harley-Davidson and others. Useful years for understanding how brands actually talk to customers.
2020
Covid ended that, so I went all in
The travelling work stopped overnight. I used the time to go deep on web development and Shopify.
2021
First clients, and the work took off
The first stores I built for other people turned into referrals, and referrals turned into a pipeline.
2022
Full-time Shopify developer
Went full time as a freelance Shopify developer. Since then: 200+ projects, Shopify Select Partner status and a client list I am proud of.
